Prompt differences between ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini

Short answer: the same prompt can produce different results across chat models because each one weighs instructions a bit differently. ChatGPT tends to respond crisply to explicit, step-by-step instructions; Claude handles long context and nuanced instructions well; Gemini is strong with short, direct commands.

That doesn't make one 'better' than the others — it depends on the task. Analyzing a long document benefits from a model with a wide context window. A quick, one-off answer works with a short, clear prompt in any of them.

That's why PromptMaker treats target-model selection as its own step: even with the same 'purpose' and 'tone' settings, the generated prompt's actual wording shifts depending on whether you're targeting ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.

Practical tip: when you switch models, revisit the prompt. Reusing the exact same wording across models usually still works, but it rarely gives the best result.
